Why Pào Pào?

泡 (pào) means bubble, foam, to infuse, to joke around, to fool around, to flirt.

Pào Pào Kombucha was born from Luisa and Antonio’s desire to share their vision of the world and of mindful drinking (possibly even No-Low Alcohol) through the medium they know best: kombucha.
After years of fermenting at home, they connected deeply with a world made of bacteria and yeasts, of inner and outer transformation.

Their drive comes from the intention to create a product without compromise, grounded in strong work ethics and care for raw ingredients:
only tea directly imported from China and India or sourced through trusted, experienced tea merchants,
fermented traditionally for 20–25 days in small batches, and flavored with real herbs and spices infused cold –
all purchased from Italian farmers – to create a truly unique range of flavors.

Some of these are the result of collaborations with companies and individuals who share their vision of both the product and the world.

The entire Pào Pào Kombucha range is 100% alive, preservative-free, unpasteurized and unfiltered –
for a truly authentic kombucha experience. For this reason, it must always be kept refrigerated.
We recommend drinking it by the expiration date to fully enjoy its aromatic profile and health benefits…
although we’re quite sure it won’t last long in your fridge!

The incredible artwork on our cans is created by the legendary Ehsan Mehrbakhsh,
an Iranian illustrator and tattoo artist based in Milan,
with whom we immediately felt a strong connection – in both working methods and artistic choices, which he approaches with great care and passion.
